A VERY LOUD WEEK OF ACTION (ITALY)

The voices of the animals skinned for their fur cannot be heard, that's why we have to be their voices, bringing the harsh reality of farms, traps and cages in the posh shopping streets of our cities.
We decided to be the voices of all animals killed for their fur, of all animals victims of human oppression, but to focus on the animals killed by a company called Maxmara Fashion Group, who's policy at the moment is to have no ethic at all on the use of animal fur, being it foxes, minks or rabbits dieing for their socalled fashion.

The week from september 14th to 20th saw a global mobilization against Max Mara Fashion Group stores and brands. It was really motivating for italian activists to see the huge support the campaign is having all over the world, with more than 20 countries joining it in this week of action.
It made all our demos, even the small ones, part of a big campaign with a serious impact. It really makes verything we all do part of an important and effective project, showing that animal liberation has no borders and global cooperation is the way.

During this week italian activists took action in 18 different cities from the north to the south, with 21 demos and 2 run-ins at MMFG stores.

The demos have been different and with varying numbers, from a few with a stall and leafleting to 30 angry activists lined in front of the biggest MMFG store in the world in Milano. Some groups had a tent where videos on the fur industry have been shown on a screen with amplifiers, which worked very well, others just stayed near the shop to inform the public and asking them to join the boycott. Megaphones were used to inform the public, make the demo more visible and chant loudly.

This was the start of the new autumn-winter season against MMFG. We will do our best to show each and everyone the bloody reality of the fur industry and the involvement of MaxMara in this carnage. We will do all we can to make a difference and save the animals form a fate of suffering.
