PARIS ACTIVISTS SUPPORT THE MAXMARA CAMPAIGN DURING THE GLOBAL WEEK OF ACTION (FRANCE)

Paris, 19th September 2009

MaxMara has several shops in the "Capital of Fashion" so we couldn't let them get away without a demo.

We were in a very posh and busy part of Paris, a hundred meters away from a new MaxMara shop. Residents, merchants and shoppers were very chocked by the butcherly posters, our heap of bloody furs and the descriptions coming out of our megaphone. We tried to imagine the same demo in winter with most of the passers-by wearing fur, they probably wouldn't stop.

All the surrounding shops were selling fur but the award winner was Roberto Cavalli that sells - believe us, or not - fur coats for dogs!
How more supernatural could this be? Actually... it could be made out of dog-fur...
We handed out loads of MaxMara leaflets and told people not to buy from that brand. Some people said that they would write to ask them to stop selling fur. We made so much noise that half a dozen people asked us to stop shouting or to go and demonstrate somewhere else. We loved this area!

MaxMara, get ready because we will soon be back!
