MAXMARA AND ESCADA DEMOS FOR RESPECT VOOR DIEREN (HOLLAND)

On the 14th of February 2009 around 9 activists of Respect voor Dieren protested against fur in The Hague in The Netherlands.

We protested against Max Mara twice one and a half hours on this day. We protested also against ESCADA, Erny van Reijmersdal, Mody Mary and Maison the Bonneterie. We got positive but also negative reactions.

We said to a couple that wanted to enter Max Mara that there was blood sticking on this shop. Then they said "O in that case we won't enter this shop".

Throughout the day we handed out leaflets and shouted slogans. We got even a donation to support our action and some people who used to be active for the animals wanted to get active again. We think we found on this day a good mix between name & shame and raising awareness and informing people as well.
