LAUNCH OF US MAXMARA OFFENSIVE IN SUPPORT OF GLOBAL CAMPAIGN

On November 16, 2008, activists with Win Animal Rights joined the campaign to persuade MaxMara to go fur free. MaxMara has over 2300 outlets spanning the globe, so an international campaign is very much apropos.

MaxMara employees were shocked, as a dozen activists lined up in front of their posh storefront, with signs depicting the bloody mutilated remains of animals, killed and skinned for their furs. Protesters fervor was fueled by the ostentatious and disgusting display of fur on MaxMara's racks. "Fur Trade, Death Trade" voices rang out strong and true.

Passersby were attracted, not only by the noise, but also by the flashing lights of the police squad car that drove up Madison Avenue, the wrong way against 4 lanes of traffic going the other way, in order to park in MaxMara's doorway.
Wonder if they ever think about the fact that they help bring attention to the demonstration when they do crazy stunts like that? Thanks for the assist NYPD!
