CAMPAIGN STARTS WITH A STRONG WEEK-END OF ACTION (ITALY)

The Max Mara campaign started officially on november 14th with a demo at the headquarter of this company, situated in Reggio Emilia.

The demo saw25 activist greeting the workers at 8.30 in the morning, undeterred by the heavy rain,
announcing what is coming next for Max Mara, ALOT of demos in front of their shops as part of a global boycott and pressure campaign.

A global week-end of demos was organized for november 22nd-23rd, when lot of groups took part form different countries.

The start of the campaign in Italy has been really successfull, with 30 demos in 25 different cities on that week-end of action!

The following cities saw demos ranging from 5 to 40 activists, some also with positive media coverage that helped us to name and shame Max Mara for
their inolvement with the bloody fur industry:

GENOVA - LUGO DI ROMAGNA - FAENZA - BOLOGNA – PALERMO – PESCARA - SAN BENEDETTO DEL TRONTO - LUCCA - FORLI' - CESENA - RAVENNA - COMO - ROMA - BERGAMO - TORINO - CARPI - MODENA - REGGIO EMILIA - PAVIA - LODI - RIMINI - RICCIONE - MILANO - AREZZO

We sent videos, images and a report on the fur industry to the managers of Max Mara, but their response was silence. Even our letters and e-mails
remained with no reply.
That's why we are now in front of their stores, urging them to take look at the reality of the fur industry, at animal suffering behind this fashion.
Urging them to take an ethical stance like so many companies have done before.

This is just the start. Many demos are taking place every week in different italian cities and more and more people get informed on how Max Mara is part
of the killing of 50 million animals for their fur.
