FOURRURE SIGNE EXTERIEUR DE CRUAUTE'  (FRANCE)

In Paris, Saturday December 19th, french activists demonstrated in front of two MaxMara and two Escada shops.

On a cold winter's day a few activists gathered Saturday December 19th, in the center of Paris. We first decided to go to a MaxMara shop in the Rue du Four in the 6th arrondissement, we stood on each side of the main entrance with placards showing  the horrors of the fur trade. We also shouted slogans : "Boycot MaxMara ! Fur is Torture ! MaxMara Murderer !..." Leaflets were given out, people were receptive and wegot encouragements.

Then we went to MaxMara in the Rue Saint Honoré in the 8th arrondissement. But the manager didn't apreciate at all our presence in front of the shop and she asked us to move back because we were preventing her from doing her business (that's what she told us !).
After that she opened the doors of the shameful shop and started provoking us so that we would have to shout the slogans louder.
We didn't want to disturb the public order, we crossed the street and ended up just in front Escada ! So we showed our placards and started
shouting slogans again. After a while, a shop assistant came to tell us, that we should go and annoy the Escada shop on Avenue Montaigne, and that's what we did !

We settled in front of the other Escada on this very posh Avenue with our placards and our vocal cords ! The security guy of the shop quickly locked the entrance and after 10 minutes, the police arrived, first riding horses then with cars ! After a long ID check, we were invited to take the metro, which we did."
